Péter Makai

He is assistant professor of the Department of Philosophy, University of Miskolc, Hungary. Makai’s previous works on moral philosophy repeatedly attempted to describe an “alternate responsibility”, and to conceptualize the “transformative intensionality” that underlies it. His writings focus on issues of an ethics of profession, responsibility and transcendence, and proximitive responsibility.

His books:
  • Faces of Depth: Ethical and Metaphysical Writings (2011, Hungarian),
  • Transformative intensionality and personalist ethos: founding responsibility ethics (2014, Hungarian).
