He holds a PhD in philosophy from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and a PhD in history from Eotvos Lorand University Budapest. He is associate professor in philosophy and religious studies at Karoli Gaspar University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, Budapest, where he is head of the Department of General Humanities. He was editor-in-chief of the Hungarian Review of Religious Studies for three years and is one of the editors of the Encyclopedia of Hungarian Philosophy. His research interests include the history of early modern philosophy, scholasticism, early Byzantine theology, the history of astronomy, and Native American cultural anthropology.
